Steve Kaari

Steve Kaari is the Economic Empowerment and Employment Services Director. He is responsible for the management, strategic planning and visioning for LSS’ MFIP (Minnesota Family Investment Program) Employment Services in Minneapolis and the LSS Financial Counseling services at the Saint Paul University location.

Steve brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience in community economic development, asset building, workforce development and education. He is passionate about working with lower income populations and helping people become self-sufficient.

Steve is a very creative person, with years of experience as a homebrewer. He also enjoys playing and watching hockey as well as learning the history of different cultures and communities. He has bachelor's degrees in Sociology and American Racial and Multicultural Studies from St. Olaf College.
