Full Cycle

Full Cycle is a nonprofit bicycle shop in south Minneapolis that offers a six-month, paid internship program for homeless youth. Full cycle also gives away more than 15o bicycles every  year to people who can't afford one.

HAFA

Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) is a nonprofit organization that was created in 2011 to serve, support and advocate for Hmong farmers and their families. They work with farmers in the small, minority farming community to access resources so that they can expand and improve their farming operations.

Exodus Lending

Early in 2012, a payday loan store opened a short distance from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The congregation took notice and started Exodus Lending, a not-for-profit organization committed to providing trapped payday borrowers a just pathway to financial stability.

Lakes and Prairies Community Action

Lakes and Prairies Community Action, based out of Moorhead, MN is a model for integrating financial education into community. Their services include free income tax filing and FAIM matched savings accounts to  help low income families develop healthy financial habits.

Awards

Tricia Grimes is an exceptional advocate at the MN legislature to get help for borrowers who are struggling with student loan debt. The Federal Reserve estimates the true loan default rate as 31% of all graduates, becoming a huge de-railer for students who are trying to make a future. Tricia is engaged, respected and has a breadth of knowledge on this issue. Thank you Tricia!
