The National Foundation for Credit Counseling and other partners have created an awesome financial assessment tool called the MyMoneyCheckUp. It is an online counseling tool that takes about 25 minutes (or less) to complete. You will answer some simple questions in areas of personal finance such as budgeting and credit management, saving and investing, planning for retirement and managing home equity. You’ll then be provided with concrete tips on how to improve your financial future.

Step 2:

Schedule a free Budget and Debt Counseling session with LSS to discuss what you learned. You can meet with a financial counselor over the phone, in person or online. Call 888.577.2227 or visit ConquerYourDebt.org to schedule an appointment. The whole process takes about an hour. It’s that simple. You will discuss your budget, debts and financial situation more specifically. And you can even discuss housing, student loans, assets, etc. Once you finish you will have the tools you need to build financial success!

(NOTE: Did you already have a Budget and Debt Counseling session in September of October? Call or email your counselor as soon as you complete the MyMoneyCheckUp so they can get you entered in the drawing!)
