How It Works
How It Works
Camp Noah is organized in a disaster-impacted community in partnership with local organizations or community groups. Camps are hosted across the country at child-friendly locations. Most camps are held six months to two years after a disaster or traumatic event, or they may also be organized independent of a disaster to equip children with preparedness and resiliency skills for life.
Collaborations
Camp Noah collaborates with a variety of organizations and groups including:
- Schools
- Community centers
- Long-term recovery committees and groups
- Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) agencies
- Places of worship
It takes three components to make a Camp Noah event happen:
- Partnership with a local Coordinating Organization
- Certified camp staff team
- Funding
