Important SEIU Updates for Representatives and Workers
New terms of agreement between SEIU Healthcare Minnesota and the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) changes will go into effect July 1, 2022. The changes can be found by visiting the DHS website.
Below are important updates for your review:
Compensation
Minimum hourly wage rate for all workers in the CDCS and CSG programs will be $15.25. Wages below this rate will be updated accordingly to come into compliance with the new labor agreement. Representatives may review the Participant’s spending summary to determine if a budget revision is needed or if schedules will need be adjusted or reduced.
Mileage Reimbursement
The rate of reimbursement for mileage will increase to $0.625 per mile. This mileage adjustment applies to all home and community-based services (HCBS) programs; however, it will not automatically be increased on a Participant’s budget. In order to see this increase, an addendum will need to be submitted to the Participant’s Lead Agency Representative.
Budget Increases
The Minnesota Legislature has authorized a 0.81% increase to CDCS (CAC, CADI, BI and DD) budgets. The increase will help with the new minimum hourly wage rate increase.
We are here for you. PICS is aware that the update above may impact the Participant’s current budget. If you have budget questions, please contact your Service Coordinator. This notice can be translated to Hmong, Spanish or Somali upon request.
