Joe has been an amazing teacher and mentor for me and all of us in his extended family - in his acceptance of what he must do, his adaptation to change, his unabashed joy of life and appreciation for little things, and his ability to live each day in the moment. At this time in particular, while we are all dealing with the pandemic, Joe helps me stay focused on what's truly important.

PICS' Response to George Floyd’s Death

PICS (Partners in Community Supports) is proud to be part of an organization committed to anti-racism. We are grieving the loss of George Floyd and our hearts are breaking for his family and our community.

We believe every person has inherent worth and dignity.

We stand with our neighbors in south Minneapolis and across Minnesota united in grief at the tragic death of George Floyd. We see and acknowledge the pain in our community. Many are experiencing tremendous hurt; this includes our own employees and people we support.

Traditional or self-directed: Which service is right for you?

PICS offers both traditional services (Personal Supports & Respite) and self-directed services (Consumer Directed Community Supports and Consumer Support Grant). While these services do share similarities, key differences – in how you can spend your budget, develop your plan and manage workers – may make one a better choice for you and your family.
