Our Home & Family
We are Christina and Greg. We live with our 12-year-old son in the country near woods, trails and a lake. Our home has two stories, four bedrooms and a fenced-in yard. We also have four dogs and two horses.
The Reason We Open Our Home
We enjoy supporting people to become independent and live the life they choose. Our home is always open — we have fostered children and currently run a licensed daycare. Christina worked as a direct support professional and enjoyed inviting individuals to our home for coffee and conversation. Opening our home and hearts feels like the next step in our life.
Our Traditions
Our family enjoys celebrating Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We get together with members of our family who live in the area. Christina is from Sweden, so we like to add a little Swedish tradition to family events.
Our Faith and Values
We believe in treating others with dignity and respect. Honesty is always best, even if it is difficult. In our home we like to "pay it forward."
Our Hobbies and Interests
Our favorite outdoor activities include cross country skiing, hunting, gardening and camping. Some indoor activities we enjoy are playing cards, board games, going out to eat and going to movies.
We live near a lake, so we like to go fishing while listening to Twins games and watching the sun set over the water while sitting by the fire.
We also enjoy traveling and visiting our two grown daughters and three grandchildren.
