Transitional Housing
Transitional housing provides short-term, affordable housing for families who are striving to overcome a variety of barriers to help them transition into stable housing in the community.
Eligibility
We provide transitional housing to families that have experienced homelessness through our Family Program in Minneapolis.
All families are referred to us through Coordinated Entry, which coordinates referrals across all housing service providers to increase efficiency and find the best placement for families.
Services Provided to Families
The Family Program provides a supportive and structured environment, including case management services and affordable housing, for both one- and two-parent families. Families can live in this transitional housing program for up to 18 months.
Families in transitional housing receive intensive case management services, tenant education, parenting support, community resources and referrals, and additional assistance to help families build skills and stabilize their lives.
We also work with families to locate permanent housing and can follow up with services to further ensure housing stability.
