Congregational Ambassadors
Role
Ambassadors fill a vital role by serving as a liaison between each congregation and the mission of LSS to express the love of Christ for all people through service that inspires hope, changes lives, and builds community.
Service
Ambassadors work with LSS staff to define and coordinate meaningful opportunities for volunteer service and donation of in-kind gifts.
Communication
Ambassadors provide ongoing information to their congregations regarding service updates, events, opportunities to serve, and legislative and budgetary changes affecting LSS.
Fundraising
Ambassadors invite the congregation and community to support LSS services through financial gifts. LSS provides event invitations and other opportunities to generously share resources for the benefit of our neighbors.
Advocacy
Ambassadors work within the congregation and join with other faith communities to build public will in legislation and public funding. Learn more about our advocacy efforts and priorities.
About the Ambassador Program
LSS Ambassadors serve in one-year renewable terms. The ambassador will fulfill their commitment according to how they see this ministry in the context of their community.
Each quarter, ambassadors take part in a conference call. The calls keep LSS and ambassador churches connected and informed about current initiatives and issues.
