Mankato Youth Experiencing Homelessness Services
Youth in the Mankato area who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness turn to Lutheran Social Service (LSS) for nonjudgmental support and assistance. LSS supports hundreds of youth every year in the Mankato area. We are committed to providing youth with the resources they need to launch into productive, healthy and independent lives.
The REACH Youth Resource Center
Provides a safe space and activities for youth who are at risk, experiencing homeless or have run away.
Transitional Affordable Housing
Host Homes for Youth
Youth who need a safe place to stay are matched with caring adults who can provide safe, short-term housing.
Sheltered Ground Transitional Living
Young adults find support and assistance as they transition to living independently in their own home or apartment.
Street Outreach
Mankato Youth Street Outreach
Confidential, nonjudgmental support and assistance for youth who have run away from home or are without a stable place.
Additional Programs
Minnesota Regional Navigators
Navigators connect youth and young adults who have been sexually exploited to housing, mental health support, employment and education resources, necessities to meet one’s basic needs, caring adults, legal services, advocacy, health care and other community resources.
Sex Trafficking Education
Helps prevent youth from falling prey to human traffickers.
