Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) is teaming up with the University of Minnesota School of Public Health to participate in a new research project to provide greater understanding about the best and most effective ways to support families caring for loved ones with dementia.
Cherish All Children, a service of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, will host a community event designed to create greater awareness and understanding about how to raise young men to be their best selves and end demand for sexual exploitation.

Tonia Brinston, financial educator for LSS Financial Counseling, received an award as one of the Top Women in Finance by Finance & Commerce Newspaper on November 15. Brinston, based in Minneapolis, was recognized at an awards dinner attended by more than 450 people at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Each year, this award recognizes 45 outstanding women who make notable contributions to their professions and communities.
The Hometown Focus highlighted Minnesota Service CORE, which is celebrating a decade of supporting Minnesota veterans and strengthening military families. CORE, which stands for counseling and case management, outreach, referral and education, is dedicated to strengthening service members, veterans and their families by providing access to care for mental and behavioral health, employment, housing and financial counseling. The CORE program is a partnership between the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS).
